Protein Packed Cinnamon Roll Donuts
There is nothing better to wake up to the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. However, there is a catch that comes with it, and that catch is a lot of sugar and calories. Luckily, we are sharing a recipe that quenches that cinnamon craving without throwing away empty calories. Behold our recipe for protein packed cinnamon roll donuts – a delicious alternative that is low in both sugar and calories.
- 1/2 cup of Premier Cinnamon Roll Flavor Protein Shake
- 1 cup Almond Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 tsp of Vanilla
- 1/3 cup of Brown Sugar Substitute
- 2 ½ tbs of Premier Cinnamon Roll Flavor Protein Shake
- 2 oz of Softened Cream Cheese
- 1 ½ tbs of Sugar Substitute
In a large bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together (flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, brown sugar substitute). Once well stirred, add the wet ingredients (protein shake, eggs, vanilla) and mix until combined. Spray your mini donut with coconut oil and fill the wells halfway full with the donut batter. Bake in the over for 7-10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Do a toothpick test to make sure they are cooked all the way through.
While the mini donuts are baking, you can make your cream cheese drizzle. Quick and easy! Mix together all of the ingredients and, when the donuts are cool, you can dip or drizzle the donuts as desired! Enjoy!
