Protein Packed Eggnog
‘Tis the season for delicious holiday treats – we have put together a recipe for eggnog that will leave you with the holiday spirit and without the guilt. This eggnog recipe uses egg and sugar substitutes that allow for you to enjoy some eggnog with less calories and less sugar.
- 2 Premier Protein 11oz. Vanilla Shakes
- 1/2 cup egg substitute
- 2 Tbsp sugar substitute like Stevia (or to taste)
- 2 tsp rum extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 2 pinches of ground cinnamon
Using a medium saucepan, heat up the protein shake, egg substitute, and sugar substitute on medium heat – however, you do not want to the mixture to come to a boil. Heat until the mixture begins to thicken and then add the rum and vanilla extract, nutmeg, and a pinch of nutmeg. Once all ingredients are combined, remove from heat and cool in the refrigerator. Once the eggnog is to the desirable temperature, pour into glasses and top with a pinch of cinnamon and/or nutmeg and enjoy!
